Director of Accounting/Controller

The primary function of this job is to provide outstanding service to members by providing leadership and front-level administration of the Credit Union's accounting and finance operations by fully using job-relevant technical, service, and leadership skills; and maintaining/updating, and seeking to enhance those skills.

Supervisory Functions

  • Oversee daily finance and accounting operations
  • Implement/Execute all Board-approved decisions
  • Organize personnel into effective, efficient work groups
  • Assume responsibility for departmental hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, training, and interpretation of Credit Union personnel policies

 

Job-Specific Functions

  • Assist VP/Chief Financial Officer develop, maintain, and monitor internal controls and policies/procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all federal/state legislation pertaining to span of control
  • Conduct financial analysis of Credit Union operations to maximize profits
  • Serve as Credit Union's liaison with NCUA examiners and independent auditors
  • Ensure periodic financial/statistical reports accurately reflect the position of the Credit Union
  • Develop methods and procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency of delivery systems
  • Ensure department plans are consistent with the strategic plan and overall budget
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Serve as FEDLINE Local Administrator
  • Maintain and control subsidiary ledgers
  • Analyze and monitor daily cash management
  • Responsible for compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and Credit Union procedures related to completion and filing of Currency Transaction Reports

 

Financial Institution experience preferred

The starting salary for this position is $11.00/hour with starting rate based upon experience. We also offer a monthly incentive program, excellent benefits and an annual bonus program!

Must be able to work Monday-Saturday (five-day workweeks).

Call Center Representative

The primary function of this job is to provide outstanding service to existing members via phone or by providing support to staff who are promoting and selling or modifying Credit Union services and products to new or existing members by fully using job-relevant technical skills, maintaining/updating technical skills and seeking to enhance service skills.

  • Process requests for changes to existing accounts and loans using established procedures
  • Process member account inquiries and assist members with problem resolutions
  • Cross-sell additional products/services when appropriate and close sales
  • Responsible for producing sales referrals for new accounts and loans as assigned
  • Exhibit advanced profiling techniques
  • Process and post monetary transactions
  • Explain Credit Union products/services to members
